Earlier this month, SJI school in Singapore hosted a Cambodian Cultural Evening to raise money and awareness for their partner UWS Koh Chreum School. The evening was a great success, and included presentations from Cambodian Ambassador, His Excellency, Mr Cheth Narem, as well as UWS founder Chris Howarth. Here’s what one of the teachers leading the partnership had to say about the evening.

UWS is excited to announce a new phase in its development: the introduction of five United World Kindergartens (UWK) next to some of our well-established schools in Ratanakiri province. These are part of a pilot project which, if successful, will see kindergartens set up alongside many more UWS schools across the region.

This week we were delighted to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korean Re-shaping Development Institute (ReDI), who have agreed to sponsor two new UWS schools in Myanmar.
The past few months have been busy for the UWS Nepal team! Since the inauguration of our first school in May, a further 4 schools have been completed, and another building project is already underway. This means that we will soon have 6 schools in the Sankhuwasabha district of East Nepal.
