Sofeena joined United World Schools in early 2020 and leads global fundraising and marketing. She has responsibility for income generation, brand, content, and marketing.

Sofeena brings over 15 years experience of marketing, communications and fundraising. She has led many integrated fundraising and communications campaigns for a number of organisations, and worked in senior leadership positions for a range of global NGOs including the British Red Cross and Oxfam GB. 

She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Fundraising Strategy Advisor to Crohn's & Colitis UK supporting the Board of Trustees in the development of the fundraising strategy. 

Sofeena is an advocate of public-private partnerships and has substantial experience in strategic philanthropy and innovative partnerships across a range of social issues and markets. Her career commenced in international marketing, she has developed brands and marketing communication strategies engaging diverse groups delivering key business objectives.

Outside work, Sofeena enjoys the outdoors, playing Netball and supporting her local club and is an active member of the League. She can often be found cheering on her two daughters beside a netball and tennis court.
