Jon has been in education for much of his professional career. He has worked with UWS since before our first school was built and taught in two of our partner schools including as a senior leader. As a founding member of the original UWS Council he has been to Cambodia 6 times with UWS on both pilot visits and partner school expeditions, including leading UWS first partner school expedition. His passion for UWS comes from seeing the impact the work has at both ends of the partnership model and this includes the inspiration for academic curiosity and perspective changing learning such a partnership has on donor students and staff. 

Currently a school leader at one of our partner schools, Jon's expertise ranges from co-curricular development in schools and pastoral care, through to outreach and international outlooks and schooling. Some specific experience includes embedding global perspectives into the curriculum and leading on learning, particularly through the IB Diploma and other Sixth Form teaching. He is a chartered leader in education and a historian and politics teacher by trade. Outside of his career Jon is a keen runner including trail running and ultra-marathon runs, as well as subjecting himself to the emotional roller coaster of supporting Tottenham Hotspur.
