The model follows the national curriculum, whilst supporting teachers to implement educational programmes that are appropriate for the contexts in which they are working. Role Summary United World Schools is looking for an ambitious candidate wanting to gain experience in international development and the charity sector. This is a six month position within the Partnerships team and will involve working with both corporate and school partners. This is an exciting role that will help to drive the team move closer to the goal of enrolling 50,000 children into school. We are looking for a bright and ambitious individual, keen to gain experience in the non-profit sector, specifically with an interest in partnerships. We are looking for a team player with a “can-do” attitude and good self-motivation. This position will take on the responsibility for providing vital day to day support with data management, email communications, reporting to our portfolio of partners and delivering engaging material to further engage and inspire those who support United World Schools. Above all, we are looking for an individual who has a passion for education, a commitment to child rights and who understands the impact education has on the lives and opportunities of children around the world. Strong organisation, communication and writing skills are essential for this role. Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): To ensure current partners are regularly updated with reports and email correspondence on the status of their projects. Updating and maintaining partnership data on our CRM. Create content for the Partnerships team to be used in both print and digital media. Developing materials required for external communications - such as blog posts, newsletters, web pages and pitch materials. Supporting the account management of partnerships in both corporate and schools. Knowledge and core competencies Educated to graduate degree level, or with at least one year of relevant professional experience in a communications or partnerships role. Demonstrable interest, enthusiasm and empathy with the work of United World Schools. Excellent written skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and craft content across various platforms. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to effectively manage administrative processes. Comfortable working with both quantitative and qualitative information from a variety of sources. Experience in website maintenance and using an email marketing platform such as Mailchimp is desirable but not essential.
