This is an education crisis.

Due to COVID-19 school closures, a third of the world’s children aren’t in education - and around 24 million children may never go back to school after lockdown.

Back to School, Back to Childhood

Back to Childhood

If 24 million children don't go back to school, that means there will be 24 million more children who are more likely to be exploited, abused or become trapped in a cycle of poverty and illiteracy.

24 million hopes and aspirations, quietly fading. 24 million children whose childhoods are being taken away by the effects of this pandemic.

United World Schools is determined to bring every child from the poorest areas of Cambodia, Nepal and Myanmar back to school; from providing essential PPE to keep all our schools safe, to working hand-in-hand with local communities to make sure that vulnerable children aren’t left behind as schools re-open.

Together, we can bring back childhood. Bring back first-day-of-school jitters. Bring back playgrounds and maths problems and hushed giggles in libraries. But there is no time to waste. We must act now to prevent this education crisis.

Donate now: bring children back to school, and back to childhood.
