United World Schools (UWS) is an international NGO focused on providing sustainable, quality and inclusive education. Its mission is to transform, through education, life opportunities for children living in remote and marginalised communities. Since 2008, UWS has worked with over 250 communities in Cambodia, Madagascar, Myanmar and Nepal to provide almost 50,000 out-of-school children with access to free primary education. Senior Associate, Trust and Foundations

£32k dependent on skills and experience, plus 4% pension contribution. (For exceptional candidates, there is flexibility)

Role Description

This role will lead the organisation’s Trusts & Foundations (T&Fs) fundraising to ensure that our ambitious growth targets are met. The main priorities will be to drive forwards our Trusts & Foundation portfolio, taking it to greater heights.  A really exciting role, the portfolio includes UK, Europe, Gulf and US Foundations. 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with proven experience of securing significant income from a wide range of international (Including US-based) Trusts & Foundations. You will have first hand experience, with a demonstrable track record of success, of securing funding from Trusts & Foundations and join UWS with a host of contacts at such organisations. 

You’ll have fantastic communication skills and the ability to liaise comfortably and confidently with stakeholders across the organisation from the leadership team, Country Directors and donors as well as externally with donors. 

This is an important role for the organisation that will sit in our Fundraising team reporting into the Associate Director and working across the organisation including with our US based Executive Director.
