Job Title: Partnerships Intern

Location: Central London (Vauxhall)

Job Type: Full-time internship for up to 6 months, with the potential to become a full time role.

Package:  £73.85 per full day spent in the office (5 day a week Fixed Term Contract)

Start Date: Dependent on candidate availability but preferably from the 1st August 2019.

United World Schools is looking for an ambitious intern wanting to gain experience in international development and the charity sector. The internship will run for six months and will provide the opportunity to work alongside our Partnerships Team to help drive the team towards their ambitious target for 2019, and move closer to the goal of enrolling 50,000 children into school.


Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a bright and ambitious individual, keen to gain experience in the non-profit sector, specifically with an interest in partnerships.We are looking for a team player and someone who is a good self-motivator. This internship will take on the responsibility for reporting to our portfolio of partners, and delivering engaging material to further engage and inspire those who support United World Schools.

Above all, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about education and understands the impact it has on the lives and opportunities of children around the world. Strong communication and writing skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

(including, but not limited to)

Working with the Partnerships Team, the successful applicant would support a number of partnerships across our growing network of Corporates and Partner Schools. Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

  • To ensure current partners are regularly updated with reports and email correspondence on the status of their projects.
  • Updating and maintaining partnership data on our CRM.
  • Create content for the Partnerships team to be used in both print and digital media.
  • Developing materials required for external communications - such as blog posts and newsletters.
  • To aid in the acquisition of new partnerships by supporting on mailing campaigns.

Education, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educated to graduate degree level, or with at least one year of relevant professional experience in a communications or partnerships role.
  • Demonstrable interest, enthusiasm and empathy with the work of United World Schools.
  • Excellent written skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and craft content across various platforms.
  • Comfortable working with both quantitative and qualitative information from a variety of sources.
  • Experience in using an email marketing platform such as Mailchimp is desirable but not essential.
