United World Schools is recruiting for the exciting position of Partnerships and Communications Associate. We are looking for an ambitious graduate or current professional to join our growing team.

The Partnerships and Communications Associate will support the Partnerships team in developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our corporate and school partners. A key part of that relationship is the creation and distribution of tailored communication materials to all existing and potential partners. If done successfully, this will support fundraising and allow UWS to have an even greater impact. There is scope to develop the role as the Partnerships team grows and to take a leading role in developing UWS communications. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to visit UWS Schools based in Cambodia, Nepal and Myanmar as they must have a clear understanding of our mission and the communities we serve

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an ambitious graduate or current professional, either (i) with experience of or (ii) keen interest in education and the non-profit sector. Being the first point of contact for current partner schools.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about education and understands its transformative impact.  As the organisation grows, the candidate will play a key role in ensuring the sustainability of our model, by maintaining long-term relationships. Experience in developing communications materials, campaigns and reports is an asset. It is essential for candidates to be able to work independently and in collaboration with the Partnerships team. The right person will have a can-do attitude and positive approach to their work. 

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

Management and retention of key relationships

  • Being the first point of contact for current partner schools. Ensuring that partners are regularly updated with reports and email correspondence on the status of their projects.
  • Aid in the coordination of events and fundraising for school and corporate partners.
  • Attend events, deliver presentations and visit partners when required.

Partnership development and acquisition

  • Manage the CRM (customer-relationship management software) to ensure our donor data is consistent and up to date.
  • Aid in the coordination of campaigns and events to attract new school and corporate partners.
  • Support the preparation of applications, reports and pitches for new partnerships.


  • Review current marketing and communication materials on a regular basis to ensure consistency and professionalism.
  • Design informative and attractive materials for our team.
  • Proof and edit materials for external use.
  • Manage and grow our social media presence and levels of engagement.
  • Support wider UWS communications and campaigns
