Package 

£36k - £40k dependent on skills and experience, plus 4% pension contribution.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Developing and executing the Special Events strategy to reach income goals. Aligning annual activities with the Fundraising strategy, including our commitment to and progression of more diverse and inclusive approaches across all activity
  • Reviewing and critically analysing existing activity. Making recommendations for the development of an ongoing successful integrated events portfolio to drive engagement and cultivate opportunities to maximise income
  • Stewarding event committee members and donors with excellence. Understanding donor motivations, philanthropy and event trends & delivering a bespoke journey to ensure continuity of their engagement with United World Schools 
  • Executing the annual calendar of events including webinars and other hybrid events to inspire supporters 
  • Leading the financial planning and budget setting for Special Events and reporting monthly on forecasted figures
  • Demonstrating excellent behaviours to drive external engagement, working to a collective department target to meet annual income targets
  • Plan new mass-participation events and establish our challenge programme including an overseas trek/marathon in 2022. 
  • To manage the recruitment, performance and succession planning of volunteer supporter committees, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clear with Terms of Reference/Engagement and specific targets
  • With the team, plan and coordinate imaginative promotional activities for each event to include promotional events, media and PR, so that we reach the participant target per event
