A teacher by trade, Tim has worked in a number of schools and educational organisations in the UK and Australia.
In 2009 he took on a senior leadership position responsible for staff performance, development and training.
More recently, as an educational consultant, Tim has worked with head teachers and school leaders to develop teaching and leadership capacity in UK schools.
Tim first visited Ratanakiri Province in Cambodia in 2006, where, a few years later, the first UWS Community Schools would be developed. Together with his sister Anna, Tim has supported his father Chris Howarth, founder of UWS, to develop the charity.
Since 2011 Tim increasingly devoted his time to growing and developing UWS, becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2012, and Chief Executive in 2015.
