Portako is a print management company that helps organisations who regularly buy print and branded merchandise save both time and money. Vida Vida specialise in unique, handmade leather goods, including men’s and women’s leather satchels, travel bags and accessories. When they heard about the recognisable UWS schoolbags that we give to all our students, Vida Vida generously offered to launch a “bag for a bag” programme. This is particularly evident through his support of UWS Padol which is helping to transform the lives of the children there. Educate A Child (EAC)
Launched in 2012, EAC, a global program of Education Above All Foundation, aims to trigger significant breakthroughs in providing quality primary education to the 58 million children who currently have no access to schooling. EAC have more than 40 projects in 38 countries, supporting children to overcome barriers to educational access and retention. With the overall goal of successfully completing an entire cycle of quality primary education, EAC strives to improve both individual and social outcomes for these children. EAC has signed a three year agreement with United World Schools, through which 33,000 out of school children across Cambodia, Myanmar and Nepal will gain access to a primary education.
ConCultures is a small German NGO, focused on education projects in the poorest countries of the world. Since 2013 ConCultures have built and supported their UWS School Roy in Cambodia. They believe education is vital; it protects oneself from injustice, terror and war. Education is necessary to develop skills and talents to enable everybody to develop full potential in society.
Their priority is to help those who have no access to schools. Simultaneously, they encourage students from the affluent western world to take a challenge and become global citizens by attending their projects as volunteers.
With United World Schools (UWS) we have found a fantastic charity to work with because we share the same values and goals. We are delighted to act as their partner in Germany.
Since 2013 they have organised four Volunteer-Projects to support UWS in Cambodia and sent 5 in-country volunteers to Cambodia.
