100Schools The Power of People
We often talk about the power of people when it comes to transforming lives through education. People are our biggest strength on the road to reaching 50,000 lives, and our most valuable resource. We would not have been able to open our 100th UWS School in Hurpa Village without the support of volunteers, the local community, our dedicated team, or our incredible supporters around the world.
It’s people that make United World Schools happen.

100Schools Transform A Life like Bishal’s
For every donation you make, a child’s life is transformed through education. For every school we build, over a hundred children gain access to the tools they need to transform their futures. As we celebrate the opening of out 100th UWS School, we also wanted to look back at the impact that your support is making on children around the world.
The journey so far: Since United World Schools first launched we have put over 18,000 children into school, trained over 500 teachers, and built 100 schools (and counting!

It Takes A Village. Opening UWS Hurpa School
People are, and have always been, at the centre of what we do. For every UWS School that is built, there is a wonderful community behind it and a fantastic team doing everything they can to ensure its success. UWS Hurpa School is no different.
From the very first day local people have welcomed our team, supported our builders, volunteered to help, set up classrooms, applied to become teachers, and made lots of cups of tea.

Our 100th UWS school is open!
Thanks to you, we just opened our 100th School. Yes, that’s right; 100 UWS Schools are up and running across three countries thanks to your incredible support. Over 18,000 children have now had access to a free primary education, and over 500 teachers are delivering lessons on everything from the importance of hand washing to the square root of 81*.
With over 263 million children and young people out of school across the world ( UNESCO), we know there is still so much more we can do.
