Raise Funds and Awareness
UWS needs volunteers to fundraise to enable our overseas operations and we need people to spread the word about our work.
Whether it’s raising £10 or £10,000, organising a cake sale or running a marathon – we know everyone has different demands on their time and energy and are grateful for any fundraising you do.
We’ll help you along the way as much as we can. Fundraising volunteers make an essential contribution to the work we do with marginalised children. Our schools are entirely funded by donations.
Ways of supporting UWS
There are always plenty of exciting opportunities to get involved. View our other current fundraising events on http://www.justgiving.com/united-world-schools for inspiration.
UWS depends on the kind supporters of partners and friends and we would love it if you joined our mission to teach the unreached. For more information on school partnership see Partner your school, if you are a company looking to sponsor a UWS school see Partner your organisation, or you can make a donation to support our work.
Current Fundraising Activities
Our schools in Cambodia have fantastic student attendance with 180+ children attending each school. This means, however, that 23 of our schools are now full to capacity and bursting at the seams with children who want to learn. We need help to build new classrooms so these children can continue to receive the education and opportunities they deserve.Time is of the essence with this project as we move into the dry season in Cambodia, the perfect time of year for building to get underway! We are therefore seeking sponsorship support so we can provide these communities with new classrooms and the necessary learning space these children need.

There’s much more to fundraising than just rattling a bucket. There’s no limit to the imaginative ways in which you can help us raise money. Here are a few examples of how UWS supporters have raised money so far:
Margaux cycled 5,500 km across Canada and the USA (coast to coast) last summer for United World Schools. You can read more at margauxsride.com.
